Introduction to Mukurtu- Structure, roles and workflows
Once your collection is in digital format, you can choose to share it with the community and beyond via a range of delivery platforms. The resources in this section focus on the use of the Mukurtu archive platform, an affordable open source system designed for First Nations community collections. FNMA has set up the First Nations Media hub (archive.firstnationsmedia.org.au) to host and support First Nations media archives.

These guides help you learn how to fill out metadata for each record. Use the Fields Dictionary and Mukurtu taxonomy lists for correct subject and spelling of places, languages, names etc.
You can use the Mukurtu app on an iPad for viewing content and adding data remotely. It enables community members to access your collection on their own devices according to their access protocols.
You can add more information to your records such as names, places, dates and stories. Monitor cultural restriction access for changes if needed (sorry, sensitive, etc).
You can export metadata from your records in Mukurtu to share with other platforms, including indigiTUBE or ICTV Play. You can also batch import metadata that has been created in other platforms.
